For the proper functioning of email sending from the Boldem application, an MX record must always be configured on the sending domain. This record indicates that the domain is capable of receiving and processing incoming email communication. Without a configured MX record, emails cannot be sent.
If you send emails from a second-level domain such as example.com, you will most likely also want to use this domain for personal or business email accounts. In that case, you will need an email hosting service, which you can obtain from providers such as Webglobe, Forpsi, or others.
If you want to send emails from a third-level domain, such as newsletter.example.com, you can either configure your purchased email hosting service on that domain or set up an MX record pointing to our mail server, which can automatically process bounce and non-delivery emails. All other incoming emails will be ignored. In this case, configure the MX record for the subdomain to point to bounce.boldem.cz so that DSN (Delivery Status Notification) messages are processed directly in Boldem.
