If you use the Rocketoo platform for your online store and want to effectively reach customers who abandoned their carts, or use products automatically imported from your store when creating templates, you can integrate Boldem with your Rocketoo store.
Prerequisites
- Because the integration is done via the Boldem API, you must have purchased the E-mailing plan in Boldem. You can easily activate the plan through the Boldem app settings under Billing.
- Boldem API key created.
- A mailing list created ideally only for integration with a Rocketoo online store.
- Boldem extension installed in the Rocketoo interface.
Synchronized data
After integrating your Boldem account with your Rocketoo account, the following items are automatically transferred and synchronized to Boldem:
- Newly added recipients (first name, last name, email address)
- Shopping cart information
- Order information
- Online store visit data
- Product data (you must add the data source from your online store to your Boldem account, see the section below).
To transfer all recipients (contacts) to your Boldem account, we recommend exporting them from your Rocketoo store and then importing them into Boldem. The easiest way, however, is to use the Import into Boldem function directly in Rocketoo on the Boldem extension page in the store admin.
Integration setup
To integrate with the Rocketoo platform, use the Boldem API. First, generate an API key:
- Log in to your Boldem account.
- Go to Settings and select API.
- Click New API key.
- Enter a name for your reference, for example Integration with Rocketoo.
- The API key details will be displayed, namely the Client ID and the Client secret. Make sure to save both of these values in a secure place. After closing the dialog, you will not be able to view the Client secret again.
To have somewhere to upload recipients from our e-shop on the Rocketoo platform, we’ll create a mailing list in Boldem dedicated exclusively to storing them:
- Go to Mailing lists and click Create mailing list.
- Enter a name for the list and confirm by clicking Create list.
Remember or write down the mailing list name; we’ll need it when setting up on the Rocketoo platform.
You also need to add your Rocketoo e-shop website to your Boldem account so you can properly track all traffic, display forms, and similar features:
Important: Enter only the base domain of your website, regardless of where you ultimately place the tracking code. So if you place the code, for example, at https://www.example.com/eshop/, enter only the domain https://www.example.com in the Website URL field, without any added path.
- In your Boldem account, click Settings and select Websites.
- Click Add website and enter the URL of your online store. For example https://www.example.cz
- A dialog with the embed code for the website will appear. Copy the code to your clipboard; you’ll need the values shown after the parameters uc and wg when setting up on the Rocketoo platform. In our example these are the number 235955 and the string 32e88f8d-0b18-40b6-8efd-d394a1c02f97.

The rest of the setup must be completed on the e-shop side on the Rocketoo platform:
- Log in to your Rocketoo account and click Administration settings.
- In the Extensions section, click Boldem. The Boldem extension settings will appear.
In this section, enter the details you previously created and configured in your Boldem account:
- Turn the toggle switch Save customers’ email addresses to Boldem to the On position (it will light up green) and a field to enter the Boldem API keys will appear.

- In the API Key (Client ID) field, enter the Client ID you noted when creating keys in your Boldem account.
- Similarly, enter the second value into the Client secret field.
- In the Mailing list drop-down menu, select the mailing list where you want to save recipients from the e-shop on the Rocketoo platform.
- If you already run an online store and have contacts stored there, it’s a good idea to import them straight into your Boldem account so you can work with them. You can do this easily with a single click on the Import into Boldem button. If you don’t, only recipients who sign up on the online store from that point on will be added to the selected mailing list.

- In the Measurements section, click Turn on measurements and fill in the fields shown.

- In the Boldem UC field, enter the number after uc=123456, which you copied earlier from the website settings in your Boldem account.
- In the Boldem WG field, enter the string after wg=xxxxx-yyyyy-zzzzz that you copied earlier from the website settings in your Boldem account.
- Click Save.
Loading products into Boldem
To work with up-to-date products from your online store in your Boldem account without copying them manually, it’s useful to add an XML product feed as a data source in Boldem. The XML feed must be in a format compatible with Heureka. Follow these steps:
- In your Rocketoo account, click Heureka in the Extensions section. If you don’t see the Heureka extension, you need to install it first:
- Click Extension Manager and search for Heureka.
- Click the Heureka tile and select Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete, then click Heureka in the Extensions section.
- Go to the XML feed tab and copy the URL of the feed you want to add to Boldem. For example:
https://2442.r2.myrocketoo.com/api/v1/feed/heureka.xml
Now paste this link into Boldem’s settings:
- In your Boldem account, click Settings and select Data sources.
- Click New data source. A dialog opens.
- Enter a name for the source to help you identify it, e.g., Rocketoo online store.
- Paste the link copied from Rocketoo into the Data source URL field.
- Leave the Data source type as Products, and in the Data source format field leave the value XML.
- Click Save in the top right.
Then wait a moment for the synchronization to complete and refresh the data sources page. If successful, the data source should display Successfully processed. Check whether the products loaded correctly in Settings/Products. You can then work with the products in the template editor.
Although you can import large volumes of data into the Boldem app and there is no maximum size set for an XML data source, we strongly recommend optimizing larger data sources (over 100 MB) or splitting them into multiple parts, for example by category. Otherwise, loading a single extremely large file may be slow and you may not be able to work efficiently with the app.
In any case, if you have data sources larger than 100 MB, consult their use in advance with our customer support.
For more information about data sources, see the help.
Testing
Wait a few minutes, then check the mailing list in your Boldem account to see if existing recipients were transferred and if new recipients are being added. Test this by creating a new order with a unique email address.
